Joey Gallo of the Texas Rangers has not played a ballgame due to his ongoing heel pain since being pulled from the Future exhibition game between the Rangers and Cubs prospects in Arizona. The athlete has been seeing a team specialist for his soreness, and recently stated that he does not believe the pain in the back of his heel is related to his Achilles tendon. Gallo’s MRI results are currently unknown. There is hope that they will not reveal anything significant; the baseball player may not be able to play with the Rangers until September.

Treatments
Heel pain should be treated as soon as possible for immediate results. Keeping your feet in a stress free environment will help. If you suffer from Achilles tendonitis or plantar fasciitis, applying ice will reduce the swelling. Stretching before an exercise like running will help the muscles. Using all these tips will help make heel pain a thing of the past.
With the advancements in technology and greater knowledge of how muscles and joints work, physical therapists can turn things around dramatically.
